The client required a secure and engaging training solution to support the delivery of complex technical procedures across multiple learning environments. Traditional classroom-based instruction relied heavily on access to specialist equipment and experienced trainers, making it difficult to deliver consistent, scalable training. The application needed to provide an intuitive learning experience that could be deployed both in virtual reality and as a desktop application while maintaining a shared training workflow across both platforms.
Our Solution
GDXR designed and developed a bespoke interactive training applications for both Vive Focus 3 and Windows desktop, enabling users to learn complex equipment handling procedures within a safe, controlled virtual environment. The experience guided learners through each stage using interactive tasks, contextual instruction and realistic equipment interactions, allowing users to practise procedures repeatedly without requiring access to physical hardware. By developing a shared codebase across VR and desktop, the solution delivered a consistent training experience while remaining flexible enough to support a variety of deployment scenarios.
Results
The completed applications provided the client with a flexible digital training platform capable of delivering consistent technical instruction across multiple locations. By allowing trainees to practise complex procedures in a virtual environment before working with physical equipment, the solution supported more scalable and accessible training while reducing dependence on specialist hardware and instructor availability.
